The honorary Doctorates went to Donny Hathaways daughter, Elton John pianist James newton Howard, Steely Dan and Retha bassist Chuck Rainey, and one Richard Starkey who would pick up his Dr it in a few weeks. Cool Ringo was part of the show.

BB must be dreaming of playing a pink Strat and really feeling it! . ha....
