Here is my new AXE…it's a FENDERMORE, er, Kenmore  Vaccaster. It's a 2026 model with only a few million in existence. Should be an in demand collectors item someday. (can't wait for it to collect the dirt and dust in my house……yeehaha!!!)

Welcome to my album TARIFA SUN. Once again it is all instrumental….. The rundown: 

El Ras Tarifa has elements of Reggae and Flamenco with some nice acoustic melodies and improv.

Smokin' Whiskey Blues is a cool slow blues with an improvised melody and solo that was done in one take the first time I played to it. THIS TUNE HAS BEEN STREAMED ON TIKTOK AND FACEBOOK OVER ten thousand times…as in 10,000 times !!! Wild…and you don't know where.

Cashin' It In  is a country tune I created for a cooking show that they didn't use.(Probably too real of an example of country music...ha). just not perfect enough.

 Berklee Irie!!! is a nice pop reggae track I wrote while attending Berklee. This also has an improvised melody and solo done the first time I played to it (I like this type of improvisation). Need to put some lyrics to it for it's optimum hit song potential. 

Funky Boston is a Jazz-Rock journey with about 4 different sections in close to 6 minutes.Very 70's fusion sounding… on purpose…although fusion is not really a favorite of most people. Too bad.

Gray Matter works as a film scoring idea that creates a certain mood.

Farruca Benahavis is a solo flamenco improvisation I recorded in Spain under the Tarifa Sun. The moped dude was not feeling my sensitive Spanish passion! 

Prelude in Zappa is also an improvised melody and solo with one take on all instruments.First played a drum beat for 2 minutes, then improvised a bass line, then played the screaming lead guitar. Frank would be proud...or not.       And finally, the wonderous

Ice Cakes by the Dixie Dregs. I took their drummer Rod Morgenstein's drum class at Berklee and was very inspired to try and play this song since I've been listening to it since about 1980. It's at a slower tempo than the blazing original but I played it for Rod and he was very appreciative of my attempt.He said it brought back fond memories of when he recorded it in the late 70's. (implying that I made some of the same mistakes he did….haha. Rod is one of the absolute greats).

OK...9 songs I'm all very proud of. I hope you can buy this $9.95 album of mine. A lot of work went into it. Below are just 20 second clips. SO buy it for the whopping 10 bucks and help me pay my student loans that will keep me occupied for a loooonnnggg time!!! Hope you enjoy this music...every note made by a live human being. Oh, yeah....

Bill, throwing down at the PARC theatre for JAGGED LITTLE PILL. Had a great run of 6 shows playing Electric and Acoustic guitars. Only wrecked the train about 3 times….….ok, call is 7 times….alright, well, er, 9 times… …But had a great sound and was appreciated by all (I think). This show was one of the best ever guitar parts. Up there with School of Rock, Rocky Horror, and Jesus C Superstar. The band was great with Brian Harris on Drums who I've played about 10 theatre shows with through the years..a wonderful, rockin', fun musical time was had by all…….oh yeah…..

HAD A GREAT RUN PLAYING THIS SHOW. Played to at least 1200 people over the run at the Jack Wilcox theatre………………………I'  WAS very excited for my most recent theatre show where I'm rocking the Guitars in THE JAGGED LITTLE PILL the Alanis Morrisette musical at the PARC in Plymouth in January for 6 shows  ….It WAS great, you oughta know…!!!

GOING GREEN FOR MARCH ……Had a great time at the GWBBC Northville…. on the 7th and the 14th….Thanks to all who braved it….a bit of a zoo for the Irish days between babys and bison and enthusiastic green people ……. And …a great time at Jo Kools in Brighton on St Patricks day and they're having me back on Friday, May 15….Yeah!!!

BILL was LIVE solo at MOONWINKS of Dixboro on TUESDAY, December 16 from 7 to 9pm doing originals and covers from the mighty list above. Had a great crowd who I want to thank for braving the 20 ish degree weather…….  Thanks again for coming!

Ahhh….this after playing for 2 hours in the 88 degree heat..Pretty fun…I think I lost a few pounds strumming in that time…

 my JAZZ GUITAR EP: THE GARY BURTON TAPES 

These are Jazz standards I recorded while taking the Gary Burton Improvisation class at Berklee Online in 2022. All tunes I'd never heard before.(oh, I've heard My Funny Valentine) The rhythm tracks of Bass, Drums, and Gary playing Piano or Vibes were provided so then I would play the melody and improvise. Gary plays mostly Piano and on a few I would also play the rhythm comping guitar part. They are all quite high quality. If you don't know who Gary is he's kind of the Guru of the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Probably the most recognized Vibraphone player of the last 50 years in the Modern Jazz world. Ok...if you have a spare 5 bucks that would be GREATLY Appreciated as well!!! Thanks,....Bill

As part of the Harris Conservatory Tiny Concert series, Bill will be playing with a number of friends, colleagues, and students. Playing songs of importance. No political overkill,no names mentioned,  just good music that makes you think and feel at this turbulent time. Should be a lot of fun. AND IT WAS…lasted about an hour and 45 minutes and featured Pam, Neal, Brian, DL, Jamie, Me and Jeanne!! “Awesome” and “very cool” and “Damn, you guys are good!” were overheard.

February, 2023                     Welcome to my "Renaissance Rock Opera."

All these songs have been written over the years with an idea of being part of a "Musical Theatre Project." As I have been a pit orchestra musician playing Guitar, Bass, Banjo, and Ukulele in about 45 local musical theatre shows all around Southeastern Michigan starting when I was 18 years old, it's always been in the works (although there is no banjo or ukulele in these songs, YET..) Here's a rundown of what to expect: 

OVERTURE touches on five different songs, some that are in Act 2.

ON BY GO THE PEOPLE is a pretty Rockin' Pop Reggae tune with some screaming guitar.

COME BACK is a Melodic Rock tune with an ending Reggae blowout.It has a nice beat and you can dance to it!

WITH JUST ONE MORE KISS is a cool Ballad and may end up being the Title of this musical extravaganza.

BRIGHT SIDE is the only Country tune of the bunch. Some have said it's not really country. OK..Guess it could use some more Twang..

SHE HAD A FUNNY WAY OF BREAKING MY HEART tells a nice story, again in the Reggae Pop realm. Another tune you can dance to.

NEVER GOING AWAY is the only Bossa of the bunch and is definitely more of a real Show Tune.

DIDN'T SEE IT COMING is the real wicked one of the bunch in a loud Rockin' Blues style.

THE DERMASSAGE GIRL is hard to pin down what it is…  The lyrics are all gleaned from a Dermassage dishwashing liquid bottle with a girls pic on it who happened to look like a friend of mine. I just don't know where this fits. I guess it's a weird blues that would fit in some kind of musical theatre show

LEAVE IT UP TO ME is a staple of my Singer/Songwriter repertoire and could be, should be a hit in the Power POP world.

     OVERALL, a good mix of songs and styles. None are lyrically too Sappy or Sad..(but stay tuned...ha..) they may be a bit cliche' but so what....the music is good and it all ROCKS.!!  I can perform most of these songs as a solo singer/songwriter act. On these full band recordings, all instruments played by Bill Boley, a 2022 graduate of the Berklee College of Music,.There's only one drum track that is not played by me and that is the Bossa tune rhythm machine. This is the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young song performed by me and former Thieves Oil bandmates Jeanne and Lauck Campbell. I did all the guitars and Jeanne and Lauck sang it with me singing some backing vocals as well. We created it in honor of our friend Paul Pakizer who past away from Covid in December 2021. Paul ran the Northville Music Academy where we worked teaching there for a good part of a decade. Paul was also a core member of my Rock Ensemble Class for over 5 years. He always liked this song....and they played this version at his memorial service. Rest in Peace, Paul.We have certainly missed you at the thursday night class.

      Stephen Stills is the sole songwriter on this. A beautiful song whoever sings it and we do a pretty good version of it. Thanks, Jeanne and Lauck.
